Glynn Boyd Harte, (1948 - 2003) was an influential and brilliant book illustrator.
This is an illustration from Gavin Stamp's "Temples of Power" about a specific category of industrial architecture: the power stations and sub-stations of electricity generation in London.
His work as a book illustrator include a deluxe edition of John Betjemins Metro-Land, and it was Betjemin who wrote the forward for "Temples of Power".
Many of the limited edition lithographs available by Boyd Harte run into the hundreds, but please note that this is number 21 from a tiny edition of only 25 copies.
The size of this is 39 cm x 27 cm in a frame 54 cm x 43 cm.
